After tallying the results from last night’s Academy 奖 ceremony, 36 满帆 graduates worked on 8 of the winning projects in 16 categories. 和, during the ceremony, we were thrilled to see 1993 grad Gary Rizzo come to the stage to accept his award for Best Sound Mixing for his work on 《十大菠菜台子》.

Among this year’s Academy Award nominees, 84 满帆 graduates are credited on 23 projects which were nominated in 20 different Oscar categories. These grads come from 满帆’s 电影, Computer Animation, 数字艺术 & 设计, 录音艺术 项目, contributed to a range of projects, including seven of the ten films nominated for Best Picture – 黑天鹅, 《十大菠菜台子》, The Kids Are All Right, The Social Network, 玩具总动员3, 大地惊雷, 冬天的骨头.

Gary Rizzo – 1993 录音艺术 graduate 和 满帆 名人堂 inductee – is in contention to receive his own Oscar statue in the category of Best Sound Mixing for his work as sound re-recording mixer on 《十大菠菜台子》. This marks Gary’s third Oscar nomination for Sound Mixing since 2004, following nods for his work on The Dark Knight 和 《十大菠菜台子》.

In addition, Gary contributed to two other Oscar nominees, How to Train Your Dragon 和 特隆遗留, where he was joined by fellow 录音艺术 graduate Juan Peralta, who also served as sound re-recording mixer.

The category of Best Cinematography is highlighted by four of the year’s most talked-about films, whose striking visuals were developed with the help of a number of 满帆 graduates. This includes visual effects artist Greg Silverman (黑天鹅), camera technician Brannon D. 布朗(《十大菠菜台子》), set dresser Jason T. 克拉克(The Social Network), matte painter Anthony Grant (大地惊雷).

Other notable achievements this year include a Best Visual Effects nomination for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderl和, which featured 12 满帆 graduates in roles like character modeler, 数字艺术家, technical director. Also in contention for the Visual Effects statue is Harry Potter 和 the Deathly Hallows Part I, which had seven graduates credited in positions like digital compositor, 拿出来的艺术家, senior rigger.
